Report

Caister travelled to Horsford hoping their luck would change. Unfortunately, Caister started the match badly when a misplaced back pass latched onto the Horsford centre forward putting the home side 1–0. The first half was quite a level affair with Caister’s best chance falling to Dan Bartram in a one-on-one situation, however, the Horsford keeper saved well. Horsford went 2–0 up when Caister lost the ball in the centre of midfield as we seem to consistently do week to week and Horsford coolly converted the chance.

Caister reformed in the second half to their favoured four, four, two formation, however this could not stop a superb Horsford goal putting the home side up 3–0 up. The introduction of Jack Wait and Michael Gislum steadied the ship and Caister started to turn the screw as Horsford tired. Caister pulled one back when Anton Ward and Adam Bartram linked up for the improving Bartram to score a well taken goal.

Caister pulled another back when a superb long range shot from Barry Crane lobbed the Horsford keeper. Caister had numerous chances to pull the game back level including another Dan Bartram one-on-one, however, it was not to be their day and the final whistle went leaving the home side victorious 3–2. Caister man of the match Adam Bartram. Next game home v Poringland 2.30pm kick off, meet ground 1.15pm
