A Team 2
South Yarmouth 5

Kick Off : 14:30 Meeting Time :

Caister A played Yarmouth Utd in the Burgess Cup semi-final and ran out convincing 5 – 2 winners. Caister started the game sluggishly due to their intense pre-match warm up of crossing and shooting at goal and Yarmouth Utd took an early lead from a poorly defended corner.
This woke Caister up and soon they were back on level terms through a well taken goal from Danny Heller, who expertly controlled a through ball before despatching a left footed shot into the bottom corner. Caister then took the lead when the forever young Stevie Smith scored, though Yarmouth Utd equalised shortly after when the Caister keeper Chris Hollis decided to do a Paul Robinson Croatia style gaffe.
Caister were however irrestible in the second half with Olly Wells scoring a header to put them back in front and Stevie Smith scored soon after to all but put Caister in the final. Danny Heller added a late fifth after racing through and placing his shot on goal.
There was no man of the match this week with the team scooping this for a fantastic performance of pure quality. The final will be at the Wellesley on the evening of the 14th April.
